Connect your Google Calendar

Let Ava see your day and put the showings and appointments you give her right on your Google Calendar. You only do this once.

Step by step

  1. Step 1: Tap “Connect”

Open your calendar settings, find the Google Calendar box, and tap Connect.

    Open my calendar settings

Not signed in? Text “link” to Ava and tap the link she sends back.

    Your calendar settings page
  2. Step 2: Pick your Google account

Choose the Google account your work calendar is on. Google shows that you’re continuing to AgentSavant, our Google-verified app.

    Google: choose an account
  3. Step 3: Allow calendar access

Google lists what Ava can do with your calendar. Tap Select all (or check each box), then tap Continue.

“Delete” is part of the name of Google’s calendar permission. Ava only changes or removes events she added for you, never your own.

Google may also list your email address. That’s only so we know which account is connected; Ava can’t read your inbox.

The first box (your events) is the one Ava needs; without it you’ll be asked to try again. The other two let her find your free times across all your calendars and let you pick which calendar she adds appointments to.

Google's permission screen (simplified; the wording may differ a little)
  4. Step 4: You’re connected

You’ll land back on your AgentSavant page. The Google Calendar box says Connected, with your next 7 days below it.

    Back on your calendar page

That’s it!

Your next morning brief will include your calendar. Text Ava anytime to add a showing, and she’ll put it on your calendar.

What connecting does

Ava will

  • Read your calendar, so your morning brief and evening check-in include your real day.
  • Add the showings and appointments you give her to your main Google Calendar, marked “AgentSavant” so you can tell them apart.
  • Send a client a calendar invite, but only when you ask her to. It comes from your own calendar.

Ava won’t

  • Change or delete your own events.
  • Invite anyone you didn’t ask her to.
  • See your email, contacts, files, or anyone else’s calendar.

You can turn it off anytime: open your calendar settings and tap Disconnect.

Using a work or company Google account?

Some companies only allow apps their IT team has approved, even Google-verified ones. If you see something like “Access blocked” or “your admin hasn’t allowed this app,” your IT person or Google admin can approve AgentSavant in a minute.

What to send your IT person

Please allow the app "AgentSavant" (a Google-verified app) to access my Google Calendar. Google Admin console → Security → Access and data control → API controls → Manage third-party app access: add the app with client ID 624782815450-6tf2l8bh4vgf77vs6octa2322iqpksqb.apps.googleusercontent.com and set it to Trusted.

Questions

Is this safe?

Yes. AgentSavant is reviewed and verified by Google. Ava only gets access to events on calendars you own. She can’t see your email, contacts, files, or anyone else’s calendar.

What will I see on my calendar?

Only the showings and appointments you give Ava, each marked “AgentSavant”. Your own events stay exactly as they are.If you move or delete one of hers in Google Calendar, she updates it on her side too.

Can a client get an invite?

Yes, when you ask. Text something like “invite Maria to Thursday’s showing.” The invite comes from your Google Calendar, and if the showing moves or is cancelled, Maria gets the update. Ava never invites anyone on her own.

Can Ava just read my calendar, without adding anything?

Yes. On your calendar settings page, tap Turn off (read-only) under “Add my appointments to Google Calendar.” Ava still sees your day but won’t add anything.

How do I turn it off?

Open your calendar settings and tap Disconnect. You can also remove it from your Google Account under Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services.

It said “Calendar access wasn’t allowed.”

The calendar box on Google’s permission screen wasn’t checked. Tap Connect again and keep that box checked.

It said the link expired or was opened in a different browser.

Go back to your calendar settings in the same browser and tap Connect again.

It said Google “didn’t grant ongoing access.”

In your Google Account, go to Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services, remove AgentSavant, then tap Connect again.

I use Outlook or Apple Calendar.

Not yet. Ava keeps your showings in your Calendar tab either way. Tap “Outlook” (or “Apple”) on your calendar page and we’ll tell you when it’s ready.

Still stuck? Just text Ava.

Send “Calendar question” to (415) 417-1011 and we’ll sort it out with you.
